Disconnection and Reconnection

A SBT fitting can be disassembled and reassembled many times. Remember that the system must be de-pressurised before working on SBT lines and/or fitting etc.

• Mark the fitting body and nut before disconnecting
• Do not disconnect without checking that the system is completely purged of pressure
• Break the nut back a few turns but don’t remove nut completely, shake or tap the fitting to check for presence of pressurized medium
• Disconnect the fitting completely
• Before reconnecting, check all sealing surface and threads are free from damage or contamination
• Fully insert the tube and if needed check insertion depth using a gauge
• Once all checks have been made, reconnect as per manufactures instructions
